Overview: Stanley Park seeks an experienced Maintenance and Repair Specialist to manage maintenance and equipment operations, ensuring the park's upkeep and aesthetic quality. This role involves leading a team, coordinating schedules, and ensuring safety compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain various vehicles and equipment.
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on equipment and buildings.
- Handle painting, carpentry, basic electrical and plumbing work.
- Build and repair small projects like walkways and fences.
- Remove snow and distribute ice-melting materials.
- Adhere to safety rules and maintain work areas.
- Manage the maintenance budget and purchase supplies.
- Assist with event setups and breakdowns.
- Develop and maintain the maintenance department budget.
- Ensure proper disposal of hazardous waste.
- Stay updated on maintenance trends.
Supervisory Duties:
- Train and instruct maintenance staff.
- Organize and oversee staff work schedules.
- Maintain discipline and handle staff grievances.
- Conduct performance evaluations and recommend improvements.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 10-15 years of building maintenance experience.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to obtain a hoisting license within a year.
- Basic computer skills.
