Does Stanley Park receive funding from any Federal, State or City taxes for its operation?

Stanley Park does not receive any funding from these sources. The Park receives funds through the generosity of The Beveridge Family Foundation, grants, sponsors, private donors, and fundraising events. To learn more about supporting Stanley Park, click here or call (413) 568-9312 ext. 112 or 108.

Is the Park open year-round?

The Park is officially open from the first Saturday in May throughthe last Sunday in November. While the Park is in hibernation, only Gates 1 and5 will remain open. Until opening day, the Park is "used at your ownrisk." However, you're still welcome to enjoy its natural beautyresponsibly. Whether taking a peaceful winter walk or enjoying some quietreflection, please stay safe and respectful of the environment.

Are we allowed to bring dogs to the Park?

Yes, as long as they are leashed and the owners clean up after them. Disposable material and five receptacles are available throughout the Park. Dogs are not allowed in the Rose and other Flower Gardens within the Park.

Are we allowed to bring 4 X 4 dirt bikes in any area of the Park?

No, these vehicles are not allowed anywhere in the Park.

May we bring and set out a blanket and picnic in the Rose Garden?

No picnics or blankets are allowed in the Rose Garden Area. However, you may do so in the picnic grove next to the Pavilion Annex or on the Recreation side of the park. The park also provides tables and charcoal grills for your convenience in designated picnic areas.

Does the Park feed the ducks and geese, and do they stay year-round?

Yes, we feed the ducks and geese daily, and most, if not all, remain year-round. The upper pond (water wheel) is kept open with an agitator so that ice will not form, allowing them to remain in their habitat.

Is camping allowed in Stanley Park?

Camping on any part of the Park property is not allowed.

How can we support Stanley Park?

There are several ways you can support the Park.

By becoming a "Partner in Preservation," your gift to Stanley Park helps assure a secure, peaceful refuge for our generation and for those to come. It provides support for deferred maintenance, security, special events, cultural, educational and recreational programing at Stanley Park.

Are there volunteer opportunities at Stanley Park?

We firmly believe that "there is nothing stronger than the heart of a volunteer."

Many volunteers actively support the Park each year but there is always a need for more. There are a variety of needs at the park where you can be of assistance. Our volunteers faithfully serve as committee members, chairs of events, tour guides, and office assistants and help in the grounds and maintenance areas. We greatly appreciate any time or skills that you are willing to share.
